Not a long wait
The reactions in the community are quite mixed, as was my first impression.
The first time I tested Percival was very carefully on a strip of paper. Phew, kind of herbaceous. Suddenly I could remember various reviews that included "shower gel vibes" or "herbal foot bath".
After 1-2 minutes, however, the scent changes from herbaceous to green, strong and masculine. Don't get me wrong, you don't smell like a mown lawn here. According to the fragrance pyramid, there is also supposed to be fruitiness a la mandarin and spices such as cinnamon, but I can't detect that with the best will in the world. For me, the spicy, green and aromatic notes clearly dominate.
The Percival is very complex and has a lovely depth. This depth sets it apart from cheap, boring contemporaries. But not everyone will recognize that. I would describe the fragrance's progression as linear.
For me, Percival has signature quality. It can be used anywhere and is liked by everyone. Especially recommended as an office or leisure fragrance. It smells good and is not unpleasantly conspicuous. There are certainly better scents for a date.
