On one hand, I love Perle Vert because it resembles my dearly missed Tendre Poison - at least in the opening. There, the freesia smells beautifully white and slightly sweet, the green notes bring a certain freshness and expansiveness, and the fruits are very subdued; at least I don't smell them. The memory of Tendre Poison makes me happy.
But soon the fragrance takes on a sharp and artificial quality that gives me a headache. The clove is distinctly noticeable, almost too dominant. Now the association with toilet block arises: a blue, intense, pseudo-fresh-smelling urinal deodorizer. My perception oscillates between "Wonderful" and "Disgusting" every second.
Nevertheless, the hint of Tendre Poison remains, but what causes it? Is it the clove hidden in the freesia bouquet, which is not present in the fragrance pyramid of TP? Could the galbanum be responsible for the slight spiciness? I am too inexperienced to judge.
Over time, Perle Vert loses its sweetness and develops a metallic hardness on my skin that reminds me of stainless steel and the color ice blue. Softness is completely absent in the following hours. The stainless steel note remains unaffected by vanilla and woods, and the clove shows no signs of giving up for a long time. A noticeable soapiness in the scent reconciles me a bit, but here too, I couldn't say whether it is a particularly precious or a cheap soap. Somehow, both are conceivable.
Until the fragrance fades, which has impressive longevity, I continue to waver between "Wow" and "Eww".
That's why I rarely use Perle Vert. But today, at 30 degrees in the shade, I found the perfume fitting. I lasted three hours; now I'm going to the bathroom to wash off the remnants. Enough smelling.
I'm really excited about the scent and can't wait to wear it more often. 😊 Even today at 30 degrees. But don't worry, there are still plenty of fragrances to try!
