SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL

Clearly a case, the first spray tells me, I know this scent, it's CABOTINE.
Uh, no, it's TENDRE POISON;
But no, it's PERLE VERTE.

So if you didn't know exactly, you would think it's the same perfume, although I find Perle Verte clearly better in terms of price.

PERLE VERTE is very similar to Cabotine by Grés, Tendre Poison is, as the name suggests, more delicate, which suits the scent very well, and delicate doesn't mean fleeting.

I love this type of fragrance where you can't really tell what you're smelling unless you look at the fragrance pyramid beforehand.

Floral or green or both, it's hard to determine what is dominating. Sometimes I think it's the green notes, then again, it's the flowers that lull me. Yes, that's the word, they lull me, I feel comfortable and secure, that's just how I perceive it. Quite different from some others here.

For me, nothing clangs, nothing is harsh or stings, nothing scratches or bites, it's simply beautiful.

Well, beautiful is boring, you might think now, so: it is beautifully green, we've already established that, but it is also beautifully soft-warm-spicy, it is beautifully aromatic-woody, it is beautifully floral-herbaceous, beautifully fresh-fruity, although not too much fruit comes through.

Although the components of the heart note are rather modest with only 3 components listed, the scent is immensely complex, has an incredible sillage. When you leave the room and come back minutes later, it still smells wonderful.
The hyacinth is not listed, nor is tuberose, but maybe they are on board after all, because it smells remarkably of both.
In the end, I notice just a tiny bit of vanilla, but it could be that I'm just imagining it.

It's truly amazing how you can create such an exquisite scent with - albeit different - ingredients in the 3 fragrances (see above), which are rudimentarily similar. In any case, I am more than delighted and very happy to now own this bottle of PERLE VERTE.

All in all, this is a more than successful souk purchase, and I thank the lovely Ambercase very much for letting me have it at such a good price.

Wishing you all a beautifully fragrant evening (Hopefully I haven't confused you too much?)

Difficult difficult difficult...
On one hand, I love Perle Vert because it resembles my dearly missed Tendre Poison - at least in the opening. There, the freesia smells beautifully white and slightly sweet, the green notes bring a certain freshness and expansiveness, and the fruits are very subdued; at least I don't smell them. The memory of Tendre Poison makes me happy.
But soon the fragrance takes on a sharp and artificial quality that gives me a headache. The clove is distinctly noticeable, almost too dominant. Now the association with toilet block arises: a blue, intense, pseudo-fresh-smelling urinal deodorizer. My perception oscillates between "Wonderful" and "Disgusting" every second.
Nevertheless, the hint of Tendre Poison remains, but what causes it? Is it the clove hidden in the freesia bouquet, which is not present in the fragrance pyramid of TP? Could the galbanum be responsible for the slight spiciness? I am too inexperienced to judge.
Over time, Perle Vert loses its sweetness and develops a metallic hardness on my skin that reminds me of stainless steel and the color ice blue. Softness is completely absent in the following hours. The stainless steel note remains unaffected by vanilla and woods, and the clove shows no signs of giving up for a long time. A noticeable soapiness in the scent reconciles me a bit, but here too, I couldn't say whether it is a particularly precious or a cheap soap. Somehow, both are conceivable.
Until the fragrance fades, which has impressive longevity, I continue to waver between "Wow" and "Eww".
That's why I rarely use Perle Vert. But today, at 30 degrees in the shade, I found the perfume fitting. I lasted three hours; now I'm going to the bathroom to wash off the remnants. Enough smelling.

A Little Wonder with a Chanel Vibe
I purchased the fragrance blindly at TKMaxx after reading Minigolf's review and after much deliberation. Inspired by the review, I thought of acquiring it as an example of a "green nature" scent for my collection and as a substitute for the expensive, nice (but ultimately not entirely convincing) "Bloom: Acqua di Fiori" by Gucci.
Now "Perle Verte" cannot meet my expectations. This is not an ordinary kind of green fragrance. "Perle Verte" is strangely different; I perceive this pearl as a little wonder on the thin line between very chic and truly awful.
"Perle Verte" does not smell like a natural scent of a forest or a meadow in my opinion, nor does it aim to be: it is very artificial, contrived. Very complex. And it has a certain Chanel vibe (I think of No. 19 and No. 19 Poudre), especially in the base, in the dry down.
One piece of information for now: the scent lasts all day long on the skin, has a subtle sillage, and an interesting progression.
It starts off charmingly sour, slightly bitter, unsweet, artificial-green, even a bit animalistic, very peculiar - I have not smelled anything similar before. This rather long beginning is not the best part of the progression, in my opinion. A light floral note joins later on, making the fragrance a bit softer and more pleasant to wear. This is where my associations with Chanel fragrances begin, which are further reinforced in the dry down - the base of the "Perle" is beautifully old-fashioned in the best sense of the word: soft, warm, round, subtly sweet, powdery-green with a hint of bitterness (perhaps from the cloves). And the base lasts for several hours, then finally dissolves into a sweet, makeup-like skin scent. Feminine, very charming, very varied, different from the others. I like it now. Worth a test.

The Green Mile
When I smell this fragrance, I immediately think of a botanical garden in late spring.
And I stroll past exotic trees and shrubs, some blooming and fragrant. Others impress with their leaves, which, when touched and lightly rubbed, also release their herbaceous-green, spicy scent. Quite a few grow outdoors in protected spots in that very botanical garden.
There are also barks that give off a beautiful aroma. Some smell almost balsamic, some slightly rough, and others aromatic-spicy.
Grasses stand in rows, including some exotic ones like vetiver or blue bear grass.
These have an almost earthy, profound scent.
I call this part of the garden "Green Mile" because something is always green or blooming throughout the year. Winter jasmine, whose yellow flowers have a light scent, in December and January, some evergreen rhododendrons and azaleas with fragrant leaves. Conifers like cedars or "Spanish firs," whose needles and barks smell resinous-woody, and much more.
Pascal Morabito has managed to capture such a diverse, "green" fragrance in a bottle.
It brings me joy to occasionally spray a piece of "Green Mile" and to relax and unwind with it. Simply to recharge with calmness and tranquility.

Grassier and more herbal than Cabotine and Tendre Poison. Bright green, juicy, very fresh and floral, not too sweet. A great spring and summer scent.

Green is indeed the color of the liquid and the cap - but the scent is heavy, sweet, and floral. Reminds me a bit of: Tendre Poison.

Wonderful grass-green crisp bouquet. More intense than Tendre Poison, and that's what makes it appealing. Come on, step out from the shadow of the poison.

It resembles Tendre Poison by Dior, but it’s not as soft-floral; it’s almost a bit piercing to scratchy. An unusual scent.
