Pistachio is real in PISTACHIO GANACHE. If a bowl was in front of me filled with pistachio, I grap one, open it, the hard-shell scrunches, and I feel the salty, fresh, aromatic seed... I would sense the same. Salt is definitely not left out, and the scent develops more and more salty spikes.

Lavender whispers so softly, that you can not hear her because of your growling stomach!

Honey gives forth to a horse-laugh from the outer side of the fences, he got off easily, does not have to participate in this game. I miss this guy with his golden skin and wide smile, but quite frankly: I do not know, how I would cope with salty honey. Jasmine softens a bit this fragrance, makes it more exotic, more high-end, whereas the complete picture is too near to the exaggerating creations of Demeter Fragrance Library.

I would wear this scent outdoors, in the sunshine, in strong wind, during holiday, when I do not think unnecessarily – and can eat so often and so much as I want.

In the French Pistachio-Honey Heaven

On my fragrance journey, I am discovering that I actually quite like some gourmand scents. Previously, I associated gourmand primarily with vanilla, pralines, sugar, sugar, sugar, and sticky sweetness, but now I have found some fragrances that make me reconsider my aversion to gourmand. One of them is Pistachio Ganache!

Designed by Calice Becker together with the French star pastry chef François Payard, this fragrance pays tribute to all three of the collection's high art of patisserie. The inspiration for this scent, as the name suggests, is a praline filled with pistachio ganache (for those who are not into baking: a ganache is a chocolate-cream mixture often used as a filling for cakes and pralines and can be flavored with additional ingredients like pistachios).

Upon spraying the fragrance, you are immediately greeted by the pistachio. However, it seems to be a roasted pistachio, as a subtle pleasant smoky note also mingles underneath. At this moment, I found the scent quite nice, but not yet a highlight; then the honey came, and I love honey. Now the perfume truly becomes a gourmand, but it is a full sweet-bitter gourmand and not that squeaky sweet marshmallow type. The lavender beautifully rounds off the composition (I don't smell the jasmine) and gives it something noble. Like a noble breakfast with pistachios and lavender honey in Provence. Simply beautiful and dreamy.

The fragrance doesn't have much evolution, but I actually don't care about that, because who would want to leave this lavender-colored pistachio-honey heaven?
