The Thorns Are Still There.
This rose has not only thorns but also a few drops of morning dew. I can also detect the herbaceous green fluid of freshly cut stems and a bit of crushed leaves. I have rarely experienced a more realistic rose scent. I see work gloves and a garden shears in front of me. In the background, I recognize the English landscape garden where this rose blooms year after year.
But here lies my problem. This is a wonderfully recreated rose scent, but as a perfume, it feels a bit too naturalistic for me. I miss a bit of romance in this fragrance. However, for those who love rose scents and perhaps even collect them, Elisabethan Rose is a must-have.

Such a loss. How could they possibly discontinue it?
