Extract of Limes Penhaligon's 2009

I have now purchased this wonderful perfume from Penhaligon's, and it feels especially refreshing to me at the beginning, somewhat relaxing, yet invigorating.
Extract of Limes is so intense that even the unopened cap smells of this wonderful perfume!
Right after applying, this wonderful scent wafts into my nose.
It is a blend of precious lime oil, fresh lemon with peel, and petitgrain, which is moderately to strongly present here.
This mixture of notes is not sweet, but rather has a dry scent!
One might think it also includes the peel of these fruits, as this water becomes somewhat dry in the further scent development!
Extract of Limes has no other base note, except for the very subtle, sweetly fragrant neroli that comes in the heart base note.
I can detect the scent of neroli here as rather light to moderate.
In this beautiful water, the chypre notes clearly play the main role!
For perfume lovers who enjoy refreshing, classic citrus perfumes, Extract of Limes is a true treasure worth trying!

I highly recommend this beautiful classic scent; it has nothing artificial about it and is a truly good companion for summer, even on hot days!
