Le Male 1998
The summer 20 years ago. Klinsi shoots us into the quarter-finals where we then miserably lose 0:3 against Davor Suker+Co. What a disgrace. It was the time when my first girlfriend and I were experiencing the peak of our time together. She was such a sweetheart and gave me exactly two fragrances during our time together. A*Men and Le Male. That was IT back then. Unfortunately, I eventually moved away from Le Male, but A*Men has always accompanied me over the last 20 years.
Recently, I ordered "Perry Ellis 360 White" from Notino. I'm a fan of the 360 line anyway. The bottles are amazing and the fragrances are a tribute to the great designer scents of the 90s. With the first spray of "White," I saw Klinsi again as he uniquely pokes the ball into the goal. Why? Because 360 is an exact vintage(!) copy of the unfortunately over-reformulated Le Male. It has a longevity and sillage that Jean Paul can only dream of today. It is (and this is true) a 1:1 copy of the old formula.
Price-wise, we're looking at under 30 euros / 100ml. It doesn't get better than this. I won't part with the bottle. It reminds me of the summer of my life... even though the accompanying World Cup was rather disappointing...

Right off the bat, the Perry Ellis is really good.
But it's not a 1:1 formula of the old Le Male.
I do have the very first version from 1995 of Le Male, but as far as I know, not much changed by 1998.
In any case, the Le Male from 1995 is definitely different from the Perry Ellis.
Still well written.
