Pink Sugar Sans Licorice

I much prefer the Red Velvet flanker to the OG Pink Sugar! I'm not a big licorice fan in taste or scent, so this is a great alternative.

It's warm and super sweet, in an artificial, plastic sort of way. Smokey, burnt sugar. And somehow, they got the red food dye and cheap boxed chocolate cake smell down! Just a cheap, Easy Bake oven dessert. I don't detect very much berry; the Berry Blast flanker might be better suited for that.

Longevity isn't anything remarkable, maybe 3 1/2 hours for me. Overall, very cute, simple, and no licorice at all :)

Another close relative of Pink Sugar, no Red Velvet

I'm not the biggest fan of the original Pink Sugar, but I like or love many of the countless dupes and flankers on the market. Al-Rehab Soft is my favorite. So I thought why not try this.

Unfortunately Red Velvet has everything I dislike about the original without its redeeming qualities. It's extremely sweet with an artificial, medicinal berry note that reminds me of cough syrup, and it also has a bit of a burnt note to it, like cotton candy that was in the machine a little too long. The strawberry in this is reminiscent of foam gummy strawberry candy, which maybe could have been cute on its own, but takes the sweetness over the top here.
It gets more vanillic, creamy and all-in-all palatable in the drydown, but doesn't get that nice caramel and musk base that the original has. Oh, and I absolutely don't get anything cake-like or chocolatey, so it's a bit of a misnomer.

If you love everything about the original, this is a pretty safe bet. But if you're looking for red velvet cake, better look elsewhere, and if you ever felt Pink Sugar smelled like berry flavored medicine, this is might not be the right flanker for you.

A better version of Pink Sugar

Yummyy ! Literally the best pink sugar dna of all. I absolutely love that line but the berry blast/pink sugar were so near perfection, Pink sugar being too "licorice" and berry blast being good but that's it... Finally found the best one. It's so fluffy/ sweet and candy like, I don't get the strawberry sadly (I really wanted to) but still succeed to be superior.
You get a trail of fluffy whipped cream and sugar heaven mixed together, it's delicious.

SWEET VANILLA

When you finish purchase it, it really smells like cotton candy though after marinating for a year or two, it rounds out to this candied vanilla. SUPER SWEET. I’m a gourmand lover but this is too much for me! Gives me a headache and when I applied it to the skin I got a bad reaction. Strong cheap chemicals in a bottle. Though guys love this stuff and people in general love a sweet vanilla. Just me personally it gives me a headache and I find it to be too much. But if your a vanilla lover or a cotton candy lover then this will be right up your alley

My favourite Pink Sugar

I recently did a wear test of all my Pink Sugars (original, Berry Blast, Creamy Sunshine, and Red Velvet), and Red Velvet is definitely my favourite.

There is a creamy, lactonic note that I can't quite put my finger on here that isn't in the original or any of the other flankers. It really does have a slight cake quality to it. It's not as intense as the original (lacking the signature liquorice note), but just as sweet and long lasting.
