Carrot Salad with Cardamom
Not a real mini, but also not a typical test tube... a nice user, I don't remember who, included the small spray bottle with a souk purchase.
At first, I smell carrot-dry iris. Aha, carrot seeds are also included! Iris sometimes, not always, smells slightly "carroty" to me - here, the impression is further supported. This direction is not really my thing, but now and then I do enjoy it - a prime example: "Si Do," which is definitely sweeter than this perfume here. I can't quite grasp the classification as "gourmand."
But soon the cardamom makes its presence known, in a fresh-spicy form. I love the scent of green cardamom pods, both in the kitchen and in perfume. That already brings a smile to my face! Unfortunately, the cardamom doesn't remain present throughout the entire progression.
Citrus notes also join in.
The whole thing reminds me a bit of that mint-spiced salad made from grated carrots that I like to serve as a side dish with Indian menus.
An interesting and, in my view, well-made perfume! My not-so-euphoric rating of 7.5 is only because this perfume doesn't quite fit into my personal preference scheme.
