Lovely soapy musk
I have four white musks in my collection: The Body Shop’s White Musk edt, the perfume oil from the same brand, Tesori d’Oriente Muschio Bianco and Prince Matchabelli’s Fresh White Musk. I like them all. They are quite alike. With that I mean that I do not see myself capable of sniffing the difference in a blind test. However, Fresh White Musk definitely deserves a review.
It is quite linear as the other three. I find it a bit more powdery than TBS and a bit less musky than Tesori. It is far more soapy than the others. Actually, the soapy note shows itself after less than ten minutes and stays there together with the musk note all the way. It is a lovely scent. Longevity is quite good, four to five hours. Sillage is close to the skin.
The design of the bottle has apparently changed over the years. The bottle I have is the one with the metallic top. In my opinion, it is quite simple. I prefer the ones shaped like crowns. They match the name of the brand better. In this case the scent is far better than the looks of the bottle.
