Acqua di Sale is life!
Just as you are, who you are!
Water, salt, life, memory…..
In everything I smell simply, human, smell life, evolution!!
Not a question of liking, simply true!!
I have my eleven-year-old son, he had to sniff through a lot -
interviewed. So, I just pressed his left wrist under his nose!
What does it smell like?: Answer: “Like dolphin vomit,:-)
he means like fish and sea :D:D:D! I shouldn’t even mention it!
But for me, it’s a compliment to a
fragrance that I love very much! I know how salt smells! Salt smells as little as rain! But it smells, just like rain smells.
If you consider everything, ground temperature, evaporation, bacteria....
then you know, rain smells, salt smells, life smells!! Acqua di Sale smells of life, of origin, no matter if you like this scent! Everything I smell here is memory, familiar and life indeed.
In the salt mine, it smells just the same! When you come out of the cold tunnels after a tour,
warm up then it smells of di Sale
in my memory! Pasta cooked in salt water, Acqua di Sale.
I really have no clue how this fragrance opening works!!!
I landed in Venice, at the train station, surrounded by a multitude of people.
I get on the Vaporetto, smell, I am on my way to Torcello. Villa 600 wind blows, water splashes in my face, pine trees line the lagoon, that’s how “Acqua di Sale” smells for me!
Top note really salty, H2O stormy, summer love, a bit rough but still.
The development from top to base goes quite quickly, with a bunch of menthol and a gradation plant in my nose. It becomes a very compact
full, dense scent. Smells beautifully cedar-like and musky soft in the base.
A bit floral and heaps of vanilla are hidden, for sure!
Lasts easily 12 hours and that’s an understatement.
The sillage is good, men and women are well served.
I completely agree with Odeur. Either love or misunderstanding!
Not pleasing in any way, but incredibly fascinating!!
