Alba Profumum Roma 2004

In brevity lies the spice
As so often in many things, it is not always about quantity, but much more about quality.
This motto seems to have been embraced by Profumum Roma's "Alba".
After being completely captivated and convinced by "Vanitas", I was now very curious about "Alba", the old albino (Ti, thanks again for the sample).
The three protagonists Amber, Almond Tree, and Sandalwood are just made for me. Although I couldn't really imagine the scent of an almond tree at first. But never mind.
Right after application, I can perceive Amber and Sandalwood as strong components. However, not in a penetrating or overly exaggerated way, but rather pleasantly present without barging in with the proverbial door. Perhaps it is also because "the almond tree" joins in very quickly? It doesn't smell distinctly almondy, more lightly woody, but very pleasantly woody. Overall, the three seem to understand and complement each other very well. Nothing is disturbing, nothing pushes itself to the forefront; all three play on equal footing with each other, not against one another. Certainly, some may find this scent rather boring because it doesn't offer a significant scent development. But in this case, that doesn't bother me at all, as its predictability makes it universally applicable.
I also think that the right name has been chosen here, as strictly speaking, I would describe Alba as a pure and white scent. It lacks (thankfully) the medical severity that would certainly prevent it from coming across as soft, gentle, and rather close to the body despite all its clarity.
For me, a more than successful composition, wearable by both genders for almost any occasion and season.
This makes the wish list happy and the credit card groan.....

Aber schön, dass dich auch dieser feine Duft erreichen konnte. PR sind schon böse Anfixer. Kennst du schon Santalum? Hier find ich auch, dass nicht immer ein Duftverlauf da sein muss.
