Budapest 2024
You probably know this too...you go on vacation and you associate certain memories with it...sometimes nice, sometimes not so nice...it can be food, it can be the hotel, the people you meet and...scents of course.
Over Whitsun we went to Budapest this time...beautiful city...honestly, you have to see it. During a short breather I discovered a magical little perfumery with Profumum Roma fragrances and I said to myself "hey...you've always wanted to try Ichnusa" so I went in...my boyfriend waved me off...he loves fragrances but doesn't really have the muse to look for them, so I went in alone while he sat outside.
Oh yes...me in my element...these are the moments when I wish I was an Indian deity with lots and lots of arms. Ichnusa disappointed me somehow, I have to admit, even though it has fig in it, but nope...this fig scent was not for me...
I don't know how long I was in there...probably twenty minutes, as I didn't want to be rude I went out to see my friend. The plan was also to let the fragrances I had sprayed on myself take effect and then go back into the store. So I sat down next to him and he was like "boah...it smells good"...I was like "uh...which one, I have six different ones on me"...a quick sniff and he was like "this one"...and was literally glued to my left forearm. He ran straight into the perfumery, I followed and asked which one it was, I pointed to Tagete and he said "bought it!" So my boyfriend is anything but an impulse buyer...and yet he left the store with three new fragrances...hihihi...
Tagete opens with a concentrated load of blossom that makes you dizzy and you think...boah no, but you have to let it work and give it time...after ten minutes the jasmine comes through on my skin with the oakmoss, floral green spicy and stays like this for about six to seven hours and at the end a fine but subtle sweetness is added.
For me, this is a fragrance that you can wear every day at any time of year...morning, noon, evening...I wouldn't over-spray it...three sprays at most and it easily lasts until the end of the day...

Now you've made me curious. I'll have to go and have a sniff in my perfumery!)

ha - he took me by surprise in the same way back then :))

...but I don't smell a banana *lol* ...but yes...it surprised me too, floral scents are not really my cup of tea...but this one fits like a glove in terms of chemistry...
