The Bright Aura
At first, one can perceive an intense citrus and slightly sour note that brings a pleasantly awakening quality, thanks to the lemon.
At the same time, the lemon is underscored by a slightly different sour nuance that carries a fine sweet touch and, in my opinion, is responsible for the lemon not being harsh but rather soft and awakening, originating from the grapefruit.
These two notes are supported by a refreshing, finely peppery nuance in a beautiful measure, ensuring that the top note gains a lovely transparent lightness, stemming from the pink pepper.
A little later, the pink pepper becomes slightly muted yet still distinctly perceivable, merging with a very beautiful refreshing, delicately berry-like, gin-like note that brings a lovely bright woody aura, thanks to the juniper.
At the same time, the juniper receives another fine woody tone that conceals a slightly floral background, further enhancing the bright aura of the fragrance, originating from the lotus.
In the very background, and only directly on my skin, there is a pleasant association of seawater that has already dried on the skin, lending the fragrance a lovely interesting aspect, stemming from the amber.
In the last 3 hours, a very strong woody and resinous note becomes perceivable, which is already quite noticeable in the heart note. I was inclined to think that perhaps incense might be present, but since it does not possess woody scent characteristics, I eventually discovered that this resinous-woody scent quality is attributable to the Virginia cedar, which I have not yet perceived so intensely in any fragrance, especially in the base.
The cedar is embraced by a very delicate, almost fragile sweet spicy nuance that lends the fragrance a lovely softness, thanks to the amber.
In the very background, and also only directly on my skin, there is a very fascinating note present, which I can well imagine originates from the amberwood, although I would never have thought of it, and it smells like sun-kissed skin.
Overall, the fragrance lasts 7 hours on my skin.
The sillage is designed from the beginning to be perceived quite well at about half an arm's length, and this is maintained for 3 hours before it gradually diminishes until the fragrance fades away.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to our Parfumo "Zirkeltanz" for the decant.
