Cuts through the air like a parachutist

Polo Sport is definitely in the top 3 of all Ralph Lauren men's fragrances, I am now sure of that. It was typically 90s and one of the best perfumes that carry the Sport label. Still, I gifted it to a younger wearer, as it simply suits those under 20 better. But I miss it the most of all the "Had I" scents, probably only topped by Sean John's Unforgivable.

Extreme from my old original sample, which I think can be considered a rarity, starts piercingly fresh - a mix of sporty limes, other lemons, mint, sage & the whole thing close to tipping over, but still clearly identifiable & testable. A scent that, according to marketing, is made for extreme athletes. And that is completely true, it has hardly anything to do with Polo Sport anymore, it is an independent perfume. Unfortunately, it is hardly to be found on our blue planet. A scent for bungee jumping, a perfume for rafting. A major point of criticism but also a unique selling point is its cold-metallic vein, which jumps around emotionlessly and boldly. A scent for parachuting, a perfume for free climbing. Most comparable to Granville, D&G Masculine or Juniper Sling. A bold athlete, a cliff diver, but not a true Cool Water clone. When it slowly shifts into the warmer, woody direction (most likely sandalwood), there are stinky, uneven moments, but they are negligible.

Bottle: fits the metallic scent & appears adventurous.
Sillage: cutting but not too strong.
Longevity: my old sample doesn't last very long - 3-5 hours.

Conclusion: different from the original, not quite as suitable for everyday wear & beautiful, but wilder & harder, sharper & more piercing. Extreme fits well here, but rather in relation to the scent & the wearing possibilities/sports, not so much to its statistics like the sillage.

I've missed it for years! There are sooo many generic scents-why can't we keep one like this?!?

I can send you my sample :) Or I would have brought it to the meeting, but unfortunately, you can't make it.

I still miss it. But I thought it was just hindsight glorification. Your comment tells me it's not.
