EXTREME POLO SPORT
For this comment, I will keep it short:

For me, bergamot, mint, juniper, sage, and cypress play the main role(s) here. The scent starts fresh-woody and remains so. In my opinion, it doesn't have much of a development. The longevity could be better. Generally, I find it hard to describe. It's just a really cool 90s scent! Those of you who were into fresh fragrances in the 90s probably had either this one and/or AdG, Dior Dune, Chanel PE, Cool Water, Polo Sport, etc. I still really enjoy this olfactory vibe of the 90s and how beautifully relaxed these perfumes are compared to so many "beast-mode" scents these days.

Even today, it’s a very distinctive fragrance!

@PV and/or Dua: Please consider a revival!

Cuts through the air like a parachutist
Polo Sport is definitely in the top 3 of all Ralph Lauren men's fragrances, I am now sure of that. It was typically 90s and one of the best perfumes that carry the Sport label. Still, I gifted it to a younger wearer, as it simply suits those under 20 better. But I miss it the most of all the "Had I" scents, probably only topped by Sean John's Unforgivable.

Extreme from my old original sample, which I think can be considered a rarity, starts piercingly fresh - a mix of sporty limes, other lemons, mint, sage & the whole thing close to tipping over, but still clearly identifiable & testable. A scent that, according to marketing, is made for extreme athletes. And that is completely true, it has hardly anything to do with Polo Sport anymore, it is an independent perfume. Unfortunately, it is hardly to be found on our blue planet. A scent for bungee jumping, a perfume for rafting. A major point of criticism but also a unique selling point is its cold-metallic vein, which jumps around emotionlessly and boldly. A scent for parachuting, a perfume for free climbing. Most comparable to Granville, D&G Masculine or Juniper Sling. A bold athlete, a cliff diver, but not a true Cool Water clone. When it slowly shifts into the warmer, woody direction (most likely sandalwood), there are stinky, uneven moments, but they are negligible.

Bottle: fits the metallic scent & appears adventurous.
Sillage: cutting but not too strong.
Longevity: my old sample doesn't last very long - 3-5 hours.

Conclusion: different from the original, not quite as suitable for everyday wear & beautiful, but wilder & harder, sharper & more piercing. Extreme fits well here, but rather in relation to the scent & the wearing possibilities/sports, not so much to its statistics like the sillage.

The former frontrunner when it came to the pepper content.
I also associate pepper with sports - what a name!

A clear sport scent: mint meets pepper, herbs meet woods. A very clear fragrance profile with fresh and distinctly masculine notes.
