Polo Blue Parfum Ralph Lauren 2022

Carlos Benaim and Pascal Gaurin have created a very powerful, masculine fragrance with Polo Blue Parfum, which thankfully avoids the "cucumber theme" (Eau de Toilette, see my review). This allows the mandarin and pepper to shine wonderfully in the opening. I am truly delighted by the vetiver in the heart note, which adds an aromatic quality to the scent. The lavender provides a bit of sharpness, but everything fits well together and harmonizes with each other. I am really enchanted by the frankincense in the base, which plays excellently with the oak wood and gives the fragrance something distinctive and dark. This scent has only a distant connection to the original Polo Blue Eau de Toilette, which is very positive. The parfum is very independent and strong, so one should not overdo it. Two sprays are more than enough to impress the surroundings. The sillage is above average. I must admit I am very positively surprised, as I had already put Polo Blue aside. But the parfum has convinced me. It also has a very sporty orientation and fits its name perfectly. Very well done!
