Apple is also such a trend right now that I don't really need. It seems like the good man might have had too much synthetic in it. With western oud, everyone has to see for themselves if it works for them, especially if they have more comparisons. Some scents from certain western brands with oud as a note still appeal to me a lot.

If I want Oud, then not from these houses. I personally don't perceive any rose. Apple & Ambroxan do add a modern and wearable element, but it just doesn't appeal to me. It comes across as entirely synthetic.
If it's apple-Oud, then Widian Gold 1.
