Peter Searches for the Flamingo

"Faïsa. It's like Side Effect. By Initio. Just not so squeaky," writes my friend Jan.
"A scent to dance Flamenco!" says a dear friend. Now we just need Peter. The expertise of village cat Peter. "Flamingo dancing?" he whispers.

"Come on, spray it! Make me the flamingo!" squeaks Peter. He’s probably thinking of "The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe." With Pierre Richard. Maybe he just didn't pay attention in biology.
"Pfft … Pffft …" Two sprays. First on the arm. Neither Side Effect nor Peter's flamingos. I can't judge the dancing part. But it smells good. Very good, in fact! It smells like rose. It smells like saffron. It smells like oud. Wonderfully complex, intertwined.
Oud is not listed at all. Listed, yes. But not on Parfumo. What shalls .. Instead, Ylang-Ylang. I don't really know how Ylang-Ylang smells. But it sounds exciting. Doesn't matter. Fascinating scent anyway! Saffron or Ylang-Ylang aside.

Now a bottle owner. 50ml version. Beautiful bottle. Nice black box. Thanks to Peter, I’m reminded of Richard again. "The big pink flamingo with the black box..." With a flip-top lid. Well, the bottle, not the box. Takes some getting used to. But better than the new cola bottle cap regulation. Much better. Actually, really good. Peter thinks it's great anyway. He keeps flipping it open and closed. Checking if his flamingo finally comes out. Maybe I should recommend him a dance YouTuber.

Now for the most important part: Holy Grail! Must have! But not a blind buy candidate! And nothing to impress at the gym.

Check out the big pharmacy. They also have Ylang Ylang essential oil there!

Well, have fun sniffing around. It’s a good idea to buy some cough drops or something afterward so no one gives you a dirty look. I’ve discovered some funny little scents like Green Mandarin… I even own two: Thyme and Pine Needle.

Strong stuff! It definitely has that classic rose-oud combo, but it's a successful version for sure. I get a slightly smoky vibe in the base. Exciting!
Thanks a thousand for the sample... 👍🤗🙏🌹🍀

With so much overwhelming saffron, I'm out right away, at least when it comes to the scent! But your description is great!

...and I'm in. I think, apart from "Pierre Richard," this review sounds really tempting XD :D

As someone who's been burned, I'm just cautious with saffron!

Exactly not. Not overwhelming. That's actually the good part.

We over-60 folks already make an impression at the gym just by looking at the weights... And that's just one of the countless perks of getting older :P
