...and I’ll keep you after all!
Normally, I find a fragrance immediately appealing.
Or not.
No “The scent has to be worked on.” or “You have to grow into this scent.”
Nope, no way! Either I like it or I don’t.
That’s what I thought.
Yessss, I was once again proven wrong.
During the first test, which I only did because I wanted to know what was considered pleasantly fragrant 200 years ago, I thought:
Oh yes, it’s not that bad. Quite okay, fresh, a bit herby... hmm... nice for a room scent, but it’s not for me.
The sample went straight into the swap box.
But it wouldn’t leave my mind.
Something in me wanted to try it again.
So I sprayed it on again:
Somehow it really is nice... it reminds me of something... thinking... something cozy. But why cozy? It’s really not that... thinking further... but no, it doesn’t suit me.
On the third test, this seemingly harmless little water wouldn’t let me go, I realized:
It smells like a garden, like freshly harvested vegetables, like hands that just picked herbs, like unsweetened meadow flowers and fresh bed linen.
I’m probably driving everyone here crazy because I always talk about my childhood memories, but it can’t be helped here either:
I’m in the garden with my grandparents, the air is a bit cool. We’re harvesting beans, peas, the last rhubarb, little Mydarkflower is picking some daisies, my grandma is cutting herbs.
Then home, cleaning the vegetables, chopping the herbs, putting daisies in a small jar.
In the bathtub, I scrub the garden dirt off and then slip tired and content between the freshly washed blankets.
My grandma tells me a story and strokes my head with her still herb-scented hands until I fall asleep.
Eau de Noblesse has an incredibly calming effect on me. The scent helps me unwind and fall asleep - so to speak, an emergency Bach flower remedy to spray on.
If my boyfriend complains because I’m getting yet another new fragrance, this time I have a good reason:
It’s a medical necessity.
So!
