Stage Victory

Taking the name of the perfume into account, one already has quite high expectations regarding the scent in terms of intensity and longevity. In this respect, it is more of a stage victory, as both aspects are rather below average.
However, since Triomphe has otherwise matched my taste and I was able to acquire it at a very low price, it made its way into my collection.

Triomphe starts with a rather sweet freshness, paired with an underlying pepper note. However, this only lasts a short while before it retreats in favor of the floral incense note in the heart.

With the heart note, Triomphe holds back a bit on the intensity, so the iris-incense accord is never perceived as intrusive.

The base of Triomphe is then very unremarkable and can only be detected directly on the skin. It's a shame that the base has been composed in such an interchangeable way. Especially after a really beautiful heart note, I would have wished for something more pronounced here. Well, at least this means the scent isn't completely ruined.

Due to this aforementioned restraint, Triomphe is very well suited as a spicy office fragrance for spring and autumn.

I came across this fragrance in a "leftover collection" of samples. It's a wonderful scent that I had no idea about until now.
