You had one of those days again when everything came crashing down on you. You were overwhelmed with a lot of work and very exhausting conversations. Everyone wanted something from you again. The electronics failed once more, including the phone. And the day just wouldn't pass, dragging on like in slow motion. Now you sit completely exhausted on a chair at home. And there it is on the table in front of you! This tiny pink bottle with something inside that could help against the evil world out there. You open it and dab a single drop on the back of your hand. And then it happens! The world around you disappears. You are in another world, dimension, or on a foreign planet.
Completely naked as you were born, you stand in a tropical rainforest. Everything around you is so wonderfully exaggerated, far too beautiful to be real. All the colors and scents are much, much more intense and vibrant than you have ever perceived. The air seems to shimmer and smells of juicy guava fruits. So fruity-spicy that it tingles in your nose. And you walk slowly along this single path that leads through the lush vegetation. It is green like fresh cardamom and coriander and lined with huge white flowers from which nectar drips. The aroma of spicy ginger and fruity-sour blossoms fills the air, so juicy and plump that you can almost touch them. You continue along the path, and your hands brush against the flower cups and palm leaves. And then suddenly something lies at your feet.
A crystal hummingbird with a tiny golden key in its back. You pick it up and start to turn the key like on a music box. And then something wonderful happens. You hear the singing of a children's choir, and the crystal hummingbird comes to life. Its tiny wings begin to flap so quickly that you believe you can hear the buzzing of electricity. From the huge white flower cups, more of its kind emerge. Dozens of them circle around you, gathering into a white-glittering light in front of you. An inner voice tells you to follow them, and you do! They fly ahead until you reach the end of the path at a pond. You stand at the edge of the pond and are just about to step in when you hear that voice inside you again, telling you to wait. And you do it again!
The swarm of crystal hummingbirds is far above you at that moment, and you look up into the clear, aquamarine sky. The buzzing sound of the wings fades away, and you hear a crystal chime as each little bird above you bursts one after another like overripe pepper pods. And while the crystal shards are still in the air, they begin to transform. They all turn into iridescent, pink-turquoise shimmering feathers that fall to the ground like a soft rain, covering your whole body and skin like a shimmering costume. You are showered with them, and in that moment, you feel like a shimmering, paradisiacal peacock. An animalistic satisfaction washes over you in that instant. Then you look back at the pond; the water has turned to gold, and an equally naked and golden figure sits in the middle of the pond on a benzoin-like shimmering small rock.
Slowly, you step into the golden shimmering water, which reaches just to your hips. You wade through it slowly, trying to see who is sitting there, blinded by the sun and its reflections. When you finally arrive, you can recognize it. It is you, and your own self gently strokes your damp and partially gilded plumage that was once skin and speaks to you in a gentle voice: Fly back, my dear friend, and do not be sad. Your time has not yet come to stay here. Do not worry. Everything, absolutely everything will be fine. Open your new wings and fly as far and as high as you can. You can do it if you want... fly!
And as the last words still echo in your ears, you open your eyes, and you are back on your chair, and the hours have passed. The music from Parra for Cuva/Cupa Cupa that you had heard when you came home is still playing. Then you begin to smile contentedly because you know that you have the little pink bottle and you can fly away and escape anytime you want!
Birds in Paradise
Rarely, extremely rarely have I smelled an essence with such pure and beautiful notes that is so incredibly intoxicating and almost narcotically beautiful. So innocent and yet so infinitely desirable that it frightens my dark-scented soul. A single drop is enough to make the world around you disappear and dive into a paradise of white flowers, fruity-spicy notes, and spicy-resinous accords. A nectar that is so incredibly strong in its aura that you feel like losing the ground beneath your feet. Birds in Paradise is like a shimmering colorful plumage of iridescent light, feathers, and colorful crystals. The pure adrenaline of love. A masterpiece!
If you keep writing stories like this, I want to try everything. But lush flowers aren't really my thing. However, hummingbirds, ponds, and feathers definitely are. And pink-turquoise too.
One might almost ask: What did you take before writing this? ;-)? It definitely reads like a trip, and my heart goes out to the bursting hummingbirds. I’ll keep my distance just to be safe.
Great comment, so vivid and atmospheric. As a scent, it’s definitely intriguing, but as a perfume on my skin, it would probably be too much for me. **Peacock trophy!**
Now I have my lovely "Good Night Story," and also some music. THANK YOU, I'm leaving you a trophy here, along with a few sounds for a good night.

The words flow down like gentle oil. The trophy for this poetic comment couldn't be big enough! But for this fragrance, it's a big and clear no from me. Just reading that there's animal pee in it... shudder... and especially at that price.

And on yours.
Nice comment.
And my wish list will be full soon too :-)
