Gilded Age by Régime des Fleus
Gilded Age symbolizes the time, the golden times to be precise. In my imagination, the perfume takes the form of an old pocket watch. Antique and immeasurably valuable. A fine, golden, almost saffron-yellow case. Dull and somewhat matte on the surface. It has no engraving because time belongs to no one. It is only borrowed! When you open it, a tobacco-colored dial is revealed, delicate and fine like the finest parchment. The ticking can be heard softly. A ticking that sounds as gentle as sound and smoke reaches my ear. Fine and noble like the most precious oud. So soft and smoky delicate. When you open it again and look into its very core, you behold its mechanism. You glimpse its soul. The fine mechanics of infinity. The finest gears and most delicate springs in the noblest gold are to be admired. They gently interlock, like the infinite love of two people. Well-oiled with the most precious truffle oil. Earthy and indescribably warm and fine in scent, it wraps around its golden innards. Protective like a divine blessing. The hands and numbers are made of the finest leather and adorn the wonderful dial. Like the most precious amber resin, they glide gently with the deepest and most sensual movements. What a beautiful, timeless masterpiece!
Conclusion
Gilded Age represents the golden times. The golden times that everyone has had or has for themselves. If gold truly had a scent, it would be aptly represented here. Finest, smoked oud combines with delicate, earthy-warm truffle oil. Saffron in the richest and dullest tones dusts through Gilded Age and enters into an affair with precious amber resin. Light accords of tobacco and delicate leather resonate like a sensual ticking throughout the perfume. Fine and indescribably noble is this perfume. Antique and immeasurably sublime, it seems to rest above all things. One might think time stands still. Gilded Age is simply timeless,....beautiful!
