Oud Rain really appeals to me.
The Oud is truly the main player in this fragrance. I can perceive the Oud from the very beginning, and it carries through to the end.
It is quite nicely designed, has few rough edges, yet it is not completely smooth.
The scent starts, as mentioned, with a noticeable Oud note.
The listed fruity notes in the top are, in my opinion, not as present as one might think. Several are listed, but they are not really noticeable. The fruity notes are there, but they are simply very subtle. They round off the Oud a bit at the beginning or, better said, they simply make it more "agreeable".
As time goes on, slightly spicy impressions from saffron and nutmeg emerge.
Both notes are perfectly dosed and well-suited to the Oud.
The Oud itself becomes a bit more intense now.
A pleasant rose also joins in.
I'm not usually a big fan of rose, but in this case, I find it really great.
Towards the end, the Oud even gains a bit more character, yet it remains truly pleasing and pleasant.
It's far from being a "stinker".
I really like the scent and didn't expect it to impress me so much.
