Byzantine is a beautiful floral for spring and summer. You can simply smell flowers upon flowers - mainly white flowers and a bit of orange blossom or Tiare, still not sweet, just pleasantly fragrant and natural, as they really are. Perhaps the mimosa is more dominant than the heliotrope here.
It is moderately powdery, but at the same time fresh. There are soapy nuances mixed with floral, sunny notes and an oriental base of creamy sandalwood and soft vanilla. I really like it.
The bottle and the juice color reflect its scent very well. I would say Byzantine is a sunny, radiant fragrance ... in the same vein as "Champs Elysees" by Guerlain (less of the almond note and with a much lower lily note). I am very happy to finally own it, as it was very hard to find. I really regret that it is no longer produced by Rochas.
