The whole "old-fashioned" thing is definitely a matter of opinion. This is definitely great perfumery art from the 40s. For me, it's timeless ;-) @RoseBerry
Thanks to Marieposa, who has already described it wonderfully in her review. However, I also get a hint of sweat (if I had to guess blindly, I'd say cumin, but it could also be clove with cinnamon) that overlays the peach skin before jasmine and iris soon dry into hay (immortelle) and settle into the earthy vintage oak moss with the leathery civet cats. A fantastic chypre from the ruins of time in 1945.
