My mission is supposedly to sniff out all the roses. And as I must admit, I almost exclusively enjoy these fresh rose scents. I feel they simply suit me best, and the roses know it too when we meet and can smell each other. I have already discovered many for myself, I have my favorites, but this one will also belong to that group. There is no other that smells quite like this. Fruity, light, yet special and very ROSE, but not ONLY.
When one hears "fruity," they probably envision a fruit salad in their mind's eye. Or perhaps fruits hanging from a tree. Roger & Gallet Rose is indeed fruity, but more in the berry direction. You sense the fruits, but you haven't taken a bite, and they are not quite ripe yet, hiding among their leaves.
Here, the rose is very bright, radiant, and friendly, also suitable for a very young audience. Like a little breath of rose that brings good cheer. I don't feel that the scent is lacking anything, or that I should layer it, as with some other soliflores.
Another tip, please don't pay too much attention to the ratings for rose scents, if at all. The rose haters will undervalue them anyway, for others the scent named "Rose" will seem far too simple and boring (you can tell by the name...), for some an edt or edc will be too weak... and so on..
