Hello Merchant of Venice Dalmatian Sage, is that you?
The headline summarizes my impression after about 20-30 minutes. L'oscar pour Homme was one of the Roja fragrances that really interested me, but unfortunately, I have to speak of disappointment again. This time, not in the form of the scent being bad, but in the form of seriously, is Roja Dove today Dua? L'oscar pour Homme only differs from Dalmatian Sage for 10-15 minutes due to a slightly different top note with grapefruit.
I really can't describe L'oscar pour Homme at all. The fragrance pyramid is not reflected in the scent at all. I smell sage, citrus, vetiver, and a bit of leather (the leather makes a small difference). Unfortunately, I see an 85-90% similarity between L'oscar pour Homme and Dalmatian Sage. L'oscar pour Homme also has the same development as Dalmatian Sage, only the Roja is a bit denser and deeper due to the higher oil content. I simply find it difficult to describe a fragrance that completely deviates from the fragrance pyramid, especially because it makes it harder to recognize individual notes. The fragrance pyramid has always helped me have a kind of red thread when testing a new scent.
I really cannot recommend anyone to buy L'oscar pour Homme, unless someone is looking for a Dalmatian Sage with better performance, but to pay a 5 times higher price per ml for that is of course possible, but I was really taken aback because paying €285 for such a dupe is not okay for me.
The longevity is good at 9 hours, as is typical for Roja, and the sillage is good at about an arm's length. L'oscar pour Homme only becomes close to the skin after just over 8 hours.
I simply cannot give a better rating due to the astonishing similarity.
