My first impression on paper was somewhat old-school, strongly citrusy, a bit herbal, a bit woody.
Still, in some way elegant. In the drydown, I was surprised that the citrus remained so present after a while.
On my skin, the citrus is also very strong at first. But now I perceive the white flowers more strongly. It has more depth. In the drydown, the citrus fades into the background faster, where it is still present but no longer as prominent. Over time, it remains "light," but becomes sweeter, warmer, and creamier. The sandalwood and musk unfold and linger.
The longevity and sillage are average.
I can somewhat understand some of the negative associations in the statements, especially at the beginning. But the progression is, in my opinion, really beautifully multifaceted.
It’s always astonishing how differently we perceive scents. Just as different as we all are.
