This is NOT Micalef! But it smells like it**
For those who enjoy a cheerful, summery, floral, and fruity scent, this beautiful fragrance is a great choice. If it should be something noble that costs little, even better. This is Italian perfume artistry at its finest.
It could just as well be from Micalef, but it is not. It is a "Rudy." Unknown? To me as well until now! And yet I have had this bottle for several years; someone brought it back for me as a small gift from their trip to Italy. Thanks to "Friedaherz," who just recently added it here, I can now comment on it, rate it, and perhaps make it a bit more well-known. Now I can say: THIS is how summer smells! Not just in Italy. And not just in Venice.
At first, it carries a whole lot of cheerful, fruity warmth of the sun. Warm, not too sweet, and really "delicious." NOT in the sense of fruit salad, but like a bowl of freshly picked summer fruits. Bright presence and finely balanced.
After about half an hour, fresh, slightly herb-powdery flowers join in. The freesia stands out, framed by slightly green, fresh leafy notes, delicate violet, and fruity-floral "country jasmine," which stretches its beautiful white flowers toward the blue sky but does not smell as sweet as "noble jasmine." Just right for noses that do not like overly sweet flowers. The lovely summer day lasts quite a while. But as it leans toward the evening after several fragrant hours, ripe blackberries and fine woods emerge olfactorily in a big way. They join the "morning and midday scents" to make everything deeper and rounder. Only very faintly can one sense vanilla and "moonlit" musk. Subtle and just a finishing touch to the overall scent progression.
The harbinger of a pleasantly warm summer night. The comparison with "Maroussia | Slava Zaïtsev" does not occur to me at all; that one is much more opulent and heavier. "Venezia" is significantly lighter, but has enormous staying power, and one does not tire of it.
A classy summer-sun feel-good scent that is quite elegant!!
