Very heavy, headache inducing

To me this is a strong perfume, probably because of the chypre. It’s all about floral and rather complicated to my nose. I honestly can’t discern between the Roses and the bergamot. Smells so 1990’s to me.

The perfumes lays heavy on me. One squirt is plenty, and almost too much for me to handle. Unfortunately for me I bought blindly and have a full size bottle that I’m trying to wear every so often with hopes I begin loving it (or standing it).

It’s headache producing for an hour. I want to love it, but it’s such a difficult fragrance for me. I have an aversion to oak moss, and it’s detected here. However, after an hour things start to slow down. The florals start coming out, not so harshly, allowing me to breathe again and enjoy the fragrance.

Having said all of this, I wouldn’t have bought this perfume had I known I’d experience the discomforts of this scent bomb, but it’s manageable after a couple hours.

Contemporary rose fragrance

I decided to test out Idôle after trying out one of its flankers (Aura). I love going through originals and their flankers to determine the difference between them and see how they have evolved (and the thought process behind it all).

Like others have already said, it's a nice citrusy, fresh rose, but there's not much more to it. I don't want to say it's basic, since it sounds insulting, but there's not much more depth to it. Idôle is perfect if you want to wear a feminine rose fragrance and not much else (which is totally fine). Since it is almost one-note, I'm pretty sure you could layer it with other rose products to add rose power to the scent or try and experimenting it with other perfumes for nice layering. It's not heavy or loud, it's not powdery and it's a nice floral with a hint of sweetness (probably from the jasmine).

I'm glad I have bought a 10ml travel size because, although it is nice, I don't think I will be going for a full bottle. I've seen better interpretations of roses out there (I prefer the flanker Aura).

Glowy fruity rose floral

I usually don’t like rose, but it turns out I just don’t like it when it’s dusty or the main note in a scent.
This perfume has a juicy mix of pears and roses, and there’s a strong vanilla accord that I can smell on the shirt I sprayed for six days after throwing it in the dirty laundry. Maybe I’m talking out of nowhere, but I feel like the scent kind of emanates a clean skin aura that makes you smell freshly washed and ultra feminine.
This is a lovely perfume for any people who want to smell sweet and clean.
It’s also not cloying to me.
However, it might be too strong for an office with its insane longevity and sillage, unless you sprayed only once, very lightly.

Stunning

Such a beautiful fragrance; an extremely elegant white floral and rose that's clean, paired with a vanilla bourbon base that is *very* lowkey yet pulls it all together.

I think this is a fragrance almost any woman regardless of age can wear as long as their attitude is graceful and feminine. I absolutely love this one.

And once again, I learned something!

Many who already know me here know that I simply love the Lancome fragrances! :) Especially the la nuit tresor line :) I was very curious about Idole and was even more excited to test it! :) I was able to get to know and test Idole through a perfume sample. Admittedly, I am still extremely unsure about my opinion on this fragrance! It also reminds me a bit of Comme une Evidence L'Eau de Parfum by Yves Rocher (but only very subtly!). This time I decided to test Idole with my mother since I know from my grandfather that he does not like floral scents and would only say they are bad or boring... And I believe that would not have gotten me or anyone here anywhere... My mother, on the other hand, likes it a bit floral and fresh from time to time :) (which I can't really claim for myself :D) My mother and I dressed up nicely since we wanted to go out together; she suggested we could both apply a little of the fragrance and then see how it develops throughout the day. I thought that was a good idea! :) So I gave myself two sprays and she gave herself three :D. I must say that the H+S is amazing! It is perceived extremely strong and clear... I don't know it any other way from Lancome;))

So I will now simply describe how it developed on my skin and on my mother's skin :)..:

On my mother's skin:
For her, the fragrance was noticeably sweeter and softer than on me, in my opinion. I smelled a very beautiful and pleasant lightly powdery but still refreshing feminine rose note*-* The bergamot was also clearly noticeable on her, especially upon spraying, but then the note became lighter and more subtle... I found that much more pleasant! I could also smell the pear most intensely on my mother. It was not an artificial or piercing pear note!
Much more a juicy and sweet pear that makes you want to bite into the person's wrist :D Musk gave the fragrance a certain something that I can't quite describe! All in all, she really liked the fragrance, which I could understand well! :) (No wonder it smells so good on her!) She gave the fragrance 8 out of 10 points... :) I also think that it smells very beautiful and special on her skin! :))

Now I will describe the fragrance development on my skin...

On my skin...:
So where should I start... I must say something!... On my skin, unfortunately, it did not smell as great as on my mother's skin... :(( Already upon spraying, I could smell an unpleasant mossy slightly sour note... :(( Which was unfortunately not a nice start for me! But well, you can't have everything in life! The rose note... it was personally too overpowering for me as it became more and more soapy and piercing... I would have wished for a lighter, more pleasant rose (on my skin) :( The pear note was the worst in the entire fragrance development! It was extremely synthetic and overwhelmingly sweet, which is a shame, I think! Since it was so beautiful on my mother!... :( The bergamot, on the other hand, was more bearable and pleasant. It took away the synthetic sweetness and refreshed the fragrance development :)) Which became more pleasant for my nose :)) Nevertheless, I realized that this fragrance is not for me! And once again, I learned how differently fragrances can be for each person! :)) But I must emphasize that the fragrance is not bad! But also not the newest! Still, I think it's better to test the fragrance beforehand and then buy it! Since it was not so nice on my skin, I give Idole 5 out of 10 points.

H+S is, as already mentioned, very, very good! Idole lasted the whole day on my mother and also on me. This is very rare for fresh/floral fragrances. I hope the comment/text is well and accurately written as I put a lot of effort into it but also wrote it with great pleasure :) ❤
