Enchanting Nard…

With the first sniff, I get that "cheesy foot vibe" again….

This often happens to me with nard……until it starts to reveal, alongside its sweet resinous and slightly animalistic notes, the fine, fresh-spicy aspects……

This fragrance ingredient is indeed enchanting and fascinating……time and again, my nose wanders to the back of my hand…..

Sweet orange blossom follows, along with wonderfully creamy sandalwood…..Iris remains in the background for me, but contributes a slightly earthy-powdery note….

That it is a natural fragrance is unmistakable…..those familiar with Primavera essential oils can roughly imagine where the journey is headed…..

Nevertheless, it is a very pleasant, calming, and grounding scent, where the nard (to my nose) remains consistently dominant……..

It exudes a harmonious aura of peace and security…….and also a certain degree of spirituality……

Personally, I see it more in my fragrance lamp…..though very, very gladly :-)…

At first, I didn't want to try this valerian-like spikenard. But then it really got to me. It's also very captivating on my skin. The only question is, when can you wear this scent outdoors? "Cheesy feet" is close to the tradition in the New Testament: Jesus and Mary Magdalene. His favorite disciple anoints his feet with spikenard oil and dries them with her hair... if that isn't erotic, what is?

I guess all the perfume shops probably get their fragrance oils from wholesalers too? Or do you think I'm wrong about that? I don't know this scent here. But I'm really into iris at the moment.

As aromatherapy, not bad at all.

I looked it up, and spikenard belongs to the valerian family, which usually doesn't smell very pleasant. So I'm not too surprised by the cheesy note. I definitely don't need to spray that on myself either ;-)

I also don't want stinky feet on my neck. I'm really glad that my nephew's don't smell (since they end up there all the time, the little guy is currently practicing martial arts). Great and very helpful description from you!

Well, for stinky feet, you should only wear leather shoes 😁😁😎

With spikenard, I also have a fragrance that's quite unique, but it can be very beautiful as well. I would probably see this one more in a diffuser.
