Aromatic Chypre.
Well, after the justified criticism of "Man Blue," I turn to the "Man" that was launched in 1985.
And this is a completely different ball game; it reminds me in many ways of Boss Number One, albeit unfortunately on a low flame.
The scent is quite classic in its structure and projection, and it is definitely enjoyable. It also develops in a somehow rounder way compared to Boss, as it doesn't keep the top note present for too long and quickly transitions to its extremely pleasant, spicy-smooth base.
It is a quiet companion; as a lover of powerhouses, this is a bit too little for me, but it certainly has its reason for existence, and I will not dismiss it.
All in all, a nice old-schooler, unfortunately a bit restrained, but perhaps at that time in Baden-Baden, one didn't want to stand out too much in the casino environment...
For a job interview, it would be a good candidate: soft, round, reserved.
