Pure aromatic for the ages
If it weren't for the (good) longevity and the hint of patchouli in the end, this could be mistaken for a mix of essential oils and herbs meant to purify, heal and refresh rather than to perfume.
It's a very old cologne and I have no trouble imagining it ressembles what it was in 1828 : sugar-free camphor, rosemary, thyme, laurel... I don't really get the lavander. This one makes no apology and doesn't try to please anyone. A timeless apothecary potion.
Nevertheless I find it very wearable, being a lover of all things aromatic. I have only tried it in the heat, where it brings a welcome cool cleanliness, curious to try it in winter !
Very pleasant in the morning after a shower, in quintessential cologne fashion.
I'm a woman but I would guess this used to be a gentleman's cologne. If you like your herbs, give it a sniff !
