Everything with Time

I bought the scent as a complete blind buy and only based on the fragrance notes. When it arrived, I was a bit disappointed; it wasn't a "classic" oud as one would expect, and there wasn't a real chocolate note to be detected either. The citrus in the background made it smell sour and off. Then it sat in my closet for 1, 2, 3, 4 months. It got better, but now that it's summer, there's no time for it, and it continued to sit in my closet. However, this little break did it good. It turned into a super beautiful woody chocolate scent, not an oud like ombré Nomade, but a lovely deep wood. The chocolate in the background is not too sweet and perfectly complements the wood, making it great for men to wear and not childish. What the scent needs is time; then it becomes a beautiful blend of chocolate, citrus, and wood that is miles ahead of the "Symphonium | Xerjoff."
