Simply Coconut
With Covet, I already have a so-called celebrity fragrance from SJP that I quite like. Normally, I am more than skeptical about celebrity fragrances, as these celebrities usually only lend their name to the scent and cash in for it. The fragrance is of course not created by these celebrities; the name is just meant to boost sales, and having any say in the matter is probably quite rare. Well, this is not only the case with fragrances, but I digress.
I like Covet and it belongs in my collection; through it, I came across the description of Pure Crush. Hm, coconut, I love the scent of fresh coconut and I haven't encountered any other fragrance that contains coconut so far. So, I bought Pure Crush without testing it, the price made that quite feasible. Fran has described it very aptly; I can't add much to that. Pure Crush is rather one-dimensional and does not change; it simply smells of coconut and flowers and gives me a cozy summer feeling. However, the scent is not fresh or aquatic, as I would normally expect from summer fragrances, but warm and creamy. The sillage is close to the skin and the longevity leaves something to be desired, but for the price, you can confidently reapply. Pure Crush is a pleasant summer fragrance, wearable everywhere and doesn't clash anywhere. Not a standout, but a solid scent for warm days. The bottle is poorly rated here; well, I think it's quite nice and I like it; its colors are even more beautiful in person.
