Even though the aquatic notes hit you in the face and Ambre is boldly displayed on the label, no whale had to give its life for this. Well, anyway, not at all.
An Eau de Cologne assaults me, bergamot and mandarin quickly become increasingly woody and soon remind me of sawdust from light woods like maple or birch - very dry and very small and fine.
The edges of the mandarin add a touch of green that lightly brushes over me again and again. Barefoot, I stroll through crumbly sand and a breeze of muffled cinnamon. The scent quickly becomes clear again. And the wood grows darker. Reminds me of dry mahogany. A hint of smoke rises.
On the skin, amber feels very comfortable, coming closer and closer, becoming human and smelling like pure origin. After 3 to 4 hours, it has slipped away and is entirely me.
A choice without torment.
