Olfactory borderline experience
This legendary aftershave - Pitralon F, obsahuje vitamin F, který dezinfikuje a zároveň osvěžuje oholenou pokožku - has no review here yet. This must change. On the one hand, it is drugstore goods, but on the other hand, it is also niche, because you can get it only in the Czech Republic. And in online drugstores that also ship to Germany. Price: Approx. € 3.

The Pitralon from the legendary "fairy tale prince" of the EAV ("...wrapped in a cloud Pitralon ... if you smell, as like a polecat") there are dozens of variants, the Wikipedia entry announces. The brand name was just never protected, so you don't really know who is actually still close to the original. Pitralon Classic is the standard German variant, the Swiss swear by Pitralon After Shave , the Croats have their own version called "Ralon" - and the Czechs their Pitralon F . This is the only thing we want to talk about here.

How did I come to this: I am a member of a shaving forum. In the context I met some time ago with a colleague, we talked about Pitralon in its different variants... and he said the fiercest would be by far the Czech. He had a bottle there for direct tasting. How can I say... the stuff has flashed me. So far, I had not encountered anything like it. So off, that you have to have it absolutely.

The report I have already posted there, I make it available here to the wider public.

The scent course is yes here always of interest. So much: "Pitralon F | layer / Spolpharma" has one, and neatly.
The top note gets you first with: Alcohol. And not too scarce. This is followed by intense notes of gasoline, a bit of the toilet cleaner that was used almost 40 years ago in my childhood, and, if I'm not mistaken, a touch of pineapple.
Heart note: This is how I imagine the smell in a war hospital, with which you try to cover other odor notes. A bit of something sweet comes through, slightly reminiscent of Nivea cream.
Base note: What remains is a mixture of incense and baby powder.

You actually have to have experienced this stuff for yourself. Just so much: I'm sure THIS is an aftershave that really makes people turn around after you.

Still briefly a few info, which I have researched with translation help in the Czech net: Pitralon was introduced in the 1920s in the Czech Republic and was there initially distributed under the original recipe. The expression "It smells like Pitralon" (Czechs may please correct me) is probably still widespread today for annoying blabbermouths. After the war, under Eastern Bloc conditions, the Setuza company was given the rights to the Pitralon formula by the state from a confiscated German company. Allegedly, only after the reunification additional vitamin F (as far as I know nothing else than fatty acid) was added to the formula, is supposed to be good for the skin. And: Pitralon is also popular with the Czech military. The alcohol is, unlike most other aftershaves, not denatured. He can be mixed well with fruit juice to a discreet drink.

Conclusion: more than borderline. And thus: unfortunately horny.
