It's been a long time....

After much deliberation as to whether I should get it back into the house, I decided to go for it and it arrived today.
I owned Sergio more than 24 years ago and I can well remember how decidedly masculine and edgy I found it back then. Wood and vetiver at the forefront of the fragrance, which reminded me a little of tobacco smoke. (And this despite the fact that I am a non-smoker ;-)
With this memory in mind, I opened the perfume box as soon as I received it and, with joyful anticipation, applied a few sprays to the back of my hand and forearm.
Disillusionment came immediately, of course. What I smelled or sniffed was only a tepid copy of the original fragrance from back then. A softly rinsed fragrance that has had its edges thoroughly sanded off. You can still sense the original DNA, but you have to go in search of it. The floral (unfortunately synthetic-smelling) part now clearly predominates and pushes the other components well into the background. Personality virtually non-existent.
Well, the water was no longer really expensive. But I prefer a higher price and high-quality (former) components so that the "composition" can also be considered as such and an EdT is also an EdT and not a diluted soup.
The last review was in 2018. Maybe Sergio smelled even better and more "original" back then.
