This song lyric and the fascinating music of the piece “Forgetting” by Philip Glass (1986) have always touched me deeply. And so I had to think of this work of art with several fragrances. Also with Ever Bloom Ginza Flower, because Ever Bloom Ginza Flower is for me the epitome of kindness - Kindness.

This fragrance is so friendly that I have worn it almost daily in the few weeks since I got it. First to get to know it. It brought a smile to my face. There is nothing strenuous or edgy, nothing snappy, biting, stinky, or challenging - there is simply kindness. Now one might think that this could be a bit boring, but no, it is just refreshing to go to work with a smile and to know that this is a fragrance that might also make others smile. And often enough I have reapplied it in the evening after work - after searching for a fragrance to unwind from a tiring day. My gaze lingered on Ever Bloom Ginza Flower and the decision was made.

What makes this fragrance so exceptionally friendly? I believe the essential factor is the soft, mild, powdery-floral scent of cyclamen. I always really like this note in many other fragrances as well. Here it is woven with other slightly sweet flowers in the background, which I cannot identify as orange blossom, lotus, and certainly not gardenia. I often find gardenia scent somewhat depressingly sluggish, while lotus can sometimes smell aquatic and musty. I notice none of that here. Perhaps it is a different gardenia scent, a different lotus scent. It is likely the orange blossom that contributes a slight, bright, but also gentle touch of freshness. Perhaps a lotus scent prevents the fragrance from becoming too powdery-dry. I notice no patchouli, but that shouldn't mean much to me. I love patchouli very much and it is found in many of my fragrances. Surely this is the note I am most adapted to, so that I might not perceive it in small amounts anymore.
So Ever Bloom Ginza Flower remains for me a cyclamen scent on the exceptionally gentle background of some reserved flowers, only minimally sweet, only slightly fresh, yet bright and soft. Although it is powdery, it is not dry. Only the next day, when the flowers have faded, do I smell very clearly musk on my clothing. Although the type of musk is okay for me, this is the only downside of Ever Bloom Ginza Flower. Others, however, might certainly enjoy the musk note. For me, it just means that I do not want to wear the clothing for a second day. Not a big deal, the essential part, namely the dreamy cyclamens, are gone on day two along with the other flowers anyway.

Kindness has faded.

But like in the song, I can repeat the words again and again. A new day comes and I can choose kindness once more..
