Apple bliss becomes generic fruity florals with a touch of sweetness

I was looking out for a sample of this one ever since I saw it announced on Skylar's Instagram. I haven't given up hope on adding another fragrance from this brand to my collection. I was curious to compare this apple scent with those I already have in my collection.

The beginning is absolutely sweet and delightfully fruity. The apple note is strong, crisp, sweet, juicy and slightly tart. I've never smelled or eaten mamey sapote and pink currant so I can't really attest how these notes influence the beginning of the perfume, but the apple clearly stands out. After awhile, the jasmine and the rose comes out. Jasmine imparts a white floral scent, powdery and slightly creamy while the rose adds a floral and sweet, almost fruity vibe to it all. At the edge, there's an evanescent touch of green (is it you dahlia?), but nothing that disrupts the perfume. That's when I realized it wouldn't make it into my collection. It's nice, but nothing new and nothing exciting. I don't want to say it's generic because I do feel the scent is overall lovely, but I've smelled this before. The drydown is vanilla-forward with a remanent of florals and fruitiness. Sandalwood does end up peaking through on my skin, giving a woodiness and a creamy warmth to the perfume. Custard further reinforces this creamy vibe.

I do have to applaud the fact that this fragrance seems to have the same kind of longevity as Fall Cashmere which is a good thing as most of Skylar's offering is pretty soft and the sillage seems a bit bigger than what I've seen from them. Unfortunately, I already have two apple fragrances in my collection and this one isn't sufficiently different for me to add a full bottle to my collection. If you love fruity sweet perfumes, this one could be a nice addition.
