Racke Rauchzart
Still gasping for air, I stagger, soaked in alcohol, across a silvery steppe, the approaching jungle already in my imaginary view.
It won't be long before I find myself in an almost impenetrable green hell, vines cutting into my face.
Smoke rises from afar.
In a clearing, an Indian squats by a fire, holding a tiny ham in motion, while simultaneously rummaging in his tobacco pouch and throwing some of the tobacco into the fire.
A second Indian wades through the smoke, holding a bottle labeled “Sintético.”
He pours a little of the contents into the fire but quickly disappears again.
“The fire needs water... juice needs moisture...” I hear myself mumbling, but my companion ignores this with a dark look.
I decide to stay by the fire a little longer.
Some time later, the alarm clock rings.
Aficionado has been in the collection for a while, and I often find it a bit difficult to deal with.
If it were a more expensive fragrance, I might have already parted ways with it, but somehow I stick by most of my cheapies. At least when they don’t come off as transparently cheap and synthetic.
On top of that, I don’t own any other aftershave of this kind, pine-check, resin-check, freshness-check, consistency-check.
But smoky green? I have no alternatives.
It’s an 8-10$ cheapie, and once again, it performs really well for its price range, but it doesn’t hide that fact. At some point, a (at least for me) somewhat exhausting synthetic note comes up, but it calms down largely again, and afterward, it remains dim and smoky.
In my opinion, you can definitely let it slide into your cart for the low price, as long as it’s still available and your sense of adventure and curiosity is strong enough.
