High class perfume

Boss Intense, magnificent perfume even more better than I expected. It is deep and fresh at the same time. Perfect for all seasons and much nicer than deep red which is more lemony. It is very long lasting with perfect and noticeable sillage. The spice notes are so wonderfully blended with the orange blossom and the result at the end is superb. High class perfume with a very distinguished bottle. I was very pleased with my choice

Masculine and woodsy

This is currently my bed-time scent. It's not something I'd probably wear out, however its clean woodsiness is very soothing on a cold Winter's night under the blankets.

Boss Intense has an almost masculine feel to it. Not that it bothers me, I gender bend fragrances all the time. Some people refer to Boss Intense as being similar to Deep Red, also by Hugo Boss. I own both, and while I see the similarities, Deep Red is much sweeter and more tasty.

Vanilla does feature in this fragrance, however it's not sugary or particularly feminine. This fragrance has an odd bite to it, being rather bold and resinous in a way.

I feel powerful when I wear this fragrance, hence the reason why I recommend this fragrance for the tom-boys and those dominating types of women.

Boss Intense was a gift given to me by a friend, and even though it doesn't strike me as something particularly me, I will use the bottle up until the last drop.

This fragrance can be overpowering at times, and has a habit of sticking to fabric, especially my sheets. This fragrance really has to be applied lightly for it to be appreciated.

what is worse than throwing it away?

At the risk of being excluded from Parfumo for disregarding a code of honor, I will still say where the fragrance currently stands: in the toilet (yes, exactly: not to freshen up before leaving).

I want to briefly explain this ultimate humiliation. It’s not that I find the fragrance itself incredibly bad, but for a few years now, I just can’t connect with Hugo Boss anymore. Every fragrance lacks that certain something for me. The scents feel too business-like, too smooth, and there’s a spark of femininity missing. Even Deep Red wouldn’t make it into my collection today (and I used to think it was great). Right now, I prefer either delicate or intense - forest fairy vs. nose fireworks - and Hugo Boss is really right in the middle.

Deep Red + Boss Woman = Boss Intense

~ Inspiration ~
This perfume from Boss was missing from my Tested series, even though it has been on the market for a while now. The commercial reminds me a bit of those from "Bruno Banani".

~ Bottle ~
The slightly tilted bottle with an intense gradient from silky red to velvety black makes me think of sexy lingerie.

~ Scent ~
It starts off a bit spicy with kumquat and other spices, immediately presenting a somewhat bitter yet sensual character. Roses, jasmine, and vanilla provide an underlying creamy floral note that gives the fragrance a refined character. Finally, it concludes warm with sandalwood, amber, patchouli, and benzoin, featuring the typical Boss note.

~ Longevity ~
On my skin, it lasts about 6-7 hours (even longer on clothes and hair). 2-3 sprays are enough; otherwise, it becomes too scratchy for me.

~ Occasion ~
A going-out fragrance for the cooler evenings in autumn and winter.

~ Conclusion ~
To my nose, it smells like a mix of "Deep Red" and "Boss Woman". I really like the former, while the latter has this piercing note that bothers me a bit here as well...

Boss Intense is a hot scent that is very well received by men. It smells very intense, as the name suggests, a bit bitter, floral, and sporty. At first, it smells quite exotic and fresh. Once the scent develops, it smells wonderfully spicy and vanilla-like (Vanilla Orchid), and in the end, it is intensified by various woods.
It definitely smells warm and sweet, no no... not like the other sweet heavy perfumes, no... a really good-smelling perfume that fits anytime and anywhere.
The bottle is quite extraordinary; it looks as if the glass has been twisted.
This blend of slightly floral and bitter with a mix of vanilla is, in my opinion, a successful composition, my absolute favorite scent. The only downside, in my opinion, is the longevity; I would have wished it to be a bit more intense :)
