First of all: I'm a fan of the fragrance. A great all-rounder for just about any situation, but...

If you're looking for a compliment magnet, Santal Super might not be the best place to start.

I was looking for a Santal fragrance that would be perfect for when I don't want to think too much about which scent would be best for today or when I'm not sure what the day will bring.

The fragrance is neither too sweet nor too heavy. It has the perfect mix of presence, green notes and woodiness, which gives the fragrance its character - making it a perfect all-rounder for the office, dinner or just a short walk across the field!

Clean musk in woody fresh

Santal Super by Son Venin, the brand was founded in 2016.
Musk is not missing in the world of fragrances, yet musk is very diverse and therefore interpreted and realized so differently. Santal Super was released in 2020 and is a woody, fresh fragrance. It is strongly reminiscent of Santal 33 and a little of Molecule 1. Son Venin is a Norwegian perfume house based in Oslo. The founder of the brand, Dag Laska, wants to reflect the Norwegian spirit in his creations. Santal Super is intended to be an interpretation of Norway's untouched nature. The pure, clear air on a cool morning, a radiant fragrance.
For lovers of clean fragrances who like a pleasantly spicy freshness in combination with woods, Santal Super is a good choice and certainly not a fragrance that many people wear. However, you have to like sandalwood. I like woods in general and sandalwood - only in fresh and unsweet - as well. Here too, no oriental-sweet sandalwood, but a fresh-dry spa sandalwood.
The fragrance starts directly with green notes (eucalyptus). Over time, the fragrance becomes powdery and pleasantly creamy. Nothing heavy or sweet here. Elegant, timeless and perfect for business. The fragrance remains linear after 30-45 minutes, which is good for me. The fragrance stays on my sleep shirt for two nights, on a pocket belt even longer, on the skin for 4-5 hours. An elegant, velvety all-rounder.
Instead of eucalyptus, the peppery note / the note that I really like in all my fragrances comes immediately afterwards. Please don't think of the spice here, rather of freshness and liveliness. Fresher and spicier than Santal 33, the sandalwood is also fresh and crisp => here the similarity with ISO Super. A Norwegian forest in the fall will smell similar.
Smells minimalist, clean and very Scandinavian. Unisex, daytime fragrance, great for the office.

I perceive Santal Super as an interpretation of the untouched nature of Norway. The pure, clear air on a cool morning that covers the land. Green notes are used in the opening, which are accompanied by a tangy freshness. A radiant, fresh and minty eucalyptus that is present across the board carries the fragrance over long stretches and fits wonderfully into the overall picture of the accompanying, spicy, subtle notes.
