Delicate floral
If one were a Disney princess, living in an enchanted castle and dressed in the finest silks and satins, I would imagine that this would be their signature scent. The bottle design itself needs no introduction as it has been designed by the one and only Rene Lalique, one of the most talented and renowned glassware artists of the 20th century.

Soft, feminine and elegant, this fragrance exudes beauty and style. It is a scent that will not disagree with any age group, whether it be young or old. Lalique will never offend as its fragrant aroma highlights your charm and inner radiance.

The initial application is one of sheer beauty, as the gardenia and black currant accords blend into a soft and soothing scent. Like a fresh bunch of exquisite and beautiful flowers, this scent has the ability to conjure up romantic thoughts and sweep you off your feet. The most desirable aspect of this fragrance can be found in the warmth of the drydown, which becomes a delicate blend of soft vanilla and musk. The combination of these two notes, which remain very close to the skin, makes the experience even more intimate.

I would recommend this fragrance as one that is best worn during the Fall and Winter months, as it has a certain aura that is so comforting during harsh and unpredictable weather. Lalique is such a light, romantic and enchanting fragrance. It is a must-buy for any woman that is searching for something to compliment their inner beauty.

Une grande dame
"Lalique de Lalique", released in 1992, has already become a classic, always extremely beautifully presented in various collector's editions. It harks back to the days of floral perfumes done in a "symphonic" style. (And it was created by Sophia Grojsman!). Sumptuous and opulent, it smells as if it was intended to be the expression of Lalique's reputation for the most beautiful perfume vessels on the planet. "Lalique de Lalique" combines all ingredients of elegance from its top notes of jasmine and clove to its heart of iris, rose, jonquil, orange blossom and vanilla, all embedded into a beautiful accord of amber, sandalwood and musk. A deadly serious perfume, very luxurious, but somehow a bit conventional. I guess you could call it "classy" with its arrangement of beautiful flowers - and that's the idea behind it. The clues here are obvious when you think of the Lalique tradition. You'll feel like a lady wearing this perfume which is the olfactory opposite of vulgar. With its innate poise and confidence, "Lalique de Lalique" is perfect for sophisticated, "mature" and self-confident women, pour la "grande dame".
I'm afraid that many women and men under 40 will probably dislike it, because they were brought up with lighter, fruitier and fresher fragrances. Nevertheless worth a try if you're into the floral category.

Like Oolong tea with brown sugar crystals surrounded by flowers
Beautiful daytime fragrance, and I like it quite a bit. It is not love, but it is pleasant enough to wear here and there. More on the shy beauty side (definitely too shy for me), but I still wear it with pride and conviction. Reminds me a bit of brown sugar crystals melting away in a cup of Oolong tea placed on a bed of flower peddles. Not bad at all. In fact, it's quite comforting.

Grande dame
This is my first comment here, this fragrance deserves it.
I did not know Lalique, however, my grandmother wore him the last years of her life.
Often I gave her a bottle for birthdays or Christmas. Not so easy he was to get what I liked. How did my grandmother already knew at that time niche fragrances?

This fragrance represents everything my grandma represented: elegant, not too intrusive, grande dame without having to be compulsively conspicuous.
after her death I inherited all the bottles of this fragrance. I like to spray it on when I want to feel so really noble, because she embodied exactly that for me. Smells somehow expensive, do not know what it is or whether it is just the association to my lady in heaven.

H&S super, although not in intrusive form

Sherlock Holmes of the Senses
Irene Adler was the only woman who could ever hold a candle to Sherlock Holmes.
A young, successful opera singer who had entered into a liaison with a noble monarch. He had written her a compromising letter and when the liaison was over he wanted the letter back so that he could marry a woman of his standing.
However, the nobleman fears an extortion on the part of Mrs. Adler because she does not want to hand over the letter ...
and that's where Sherlock Holmes comes in. He should get the letter back.
Who has read this story knows that Mr. Holmes was the only time not successful and was quite cleverly outsmarted by a woman.

For me, Lalique is the scent of Irene Adler. He's got class, level, cunning and likability. AND also impresses a man like Sherlock Holmes.
The combination of velvety currant, golden shiny vanilla, the creamy soft iris and the noble jasmine.... Results in a harmonious overall picture, which is both suitable for everyday use and useful for visiting the opera.
Its extreme durability of 10 h plus is also not to be despised. It's just it's not really explosive.
The Sillage is medium splendid and sniffable only on approx. 1m, however only briefly, then it migrates on the skin and remains there.
A perfect fragrance for a woman who likes to be perfect. Of course also for cosmopolitans like me. But oh, who wouldn't like to shine for an evening in the glow of the Laliqueduft and appear in the adventure Sherlock Holmes and actually impress him?
