After a tiring work week, I wanted to treat myself at Rossmann and tested a few drugstore fragrances. I enjoy wearing Roja Dove or Guerlain; my nose is accustomed to good quality and quite spoiled. Nevertheless, I take pleasure in hunting for treasures of at least good quality in affordable price ranges. Always with the thought in mind to share my discoveries on this platform with others. This time, the treasure hunt was crowned with success. Tempting Lilies is a fantastic fragrance with a sensational price-performance ratio. This scent contains a total of 19 fragrance ingredients; both natural and synthetic.
The natural ingredients are: Lemon peel and bitter orange oil, Geranium oil, rose blossom oil, and patchouli oil.
In addition, there are some synthetic fragrance ingredients that smell of lily of the valley, jasmine, rose, geranium, and lavender in the heart note. In the base, a marzipan-like musk-vanilla-almond powder with tonka bean dominates. Iso-E-Super is also included here, which gives the fragrance a slight woodiness and an ethereal musk impression. Pinene adds a foresty freshness of pine needles, but I can't consciously perceive it here.
The fragrance: An immediate "Wow, this is good and so beautifully powdery." crossed my mind at the first sniff. They have managed to create a complex, balanced scent impression with simple means, encompassing sweet, powdery, floral, creamy, gourmand, woody, and musky notes. Tempting Lilies feels very feminine, but with depth and body. The lavender and tonka give the fragrance a sensuality that many vanilla scents in this price category often lack. Anyone who likes Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum and Seductive Noir Eau de Toilette will surely like this one.
Longevity: Spotted last night at 10 PM, I can still smell the stable sweet-creamy base of vanilla-almond powder, musk, and tonka on my wrist at 8 AM this morning. Quite impressive endurance for the price. By the way, the same UV filter as in La Vie Est Belle is included here.
While it doesn't bring Guerlain quality, the fragrance is more than just okay. It is beautiful and absolutely recommendable.
