Bargain alert! Velvety vanilla with a herbal touch
Oooh, I can't believe I waited so long to try this marvelous cheapie! Out of all fragrances I know, this might have the best ratio of price, scent and easy accessibility. It's in every drug store (at least in Germany), smells like a better Mon Guerlain and costs a whopping 15 € for a small bottle (less when it's on sale!).
Even though this has sage instead of lavender, it's really similar to Mon Guerlain and other lavender-vanilla blends, especially at first glance. When you know that it's supposed to be sage, you can actually identify it, it smells a bit more herbal and less clean than lavender.
The vanilla in here is creamy and warm with a good amount of depth. It turns sweeter and more gourmand towards the finale. I always liked the Mon Guerlain lind, but thought the drydown of the original EDP was a little too perfumey and could be a little warmer. In Seductive Noir, it's definitely warm enough with all that vanilla.
A subtle creamy jasmine and a powdery iris round it out. The light suede note is another really nice touch, it gives the fragrance a velvety-smooth texture.
This is just so pretty! I wouldn't really categorize it as a "Noir" scent, but it does lean a little darker than others from this family. Not dark enough to be a nighttime only scent though, this would be prefect for a cold winter day.
I don't really need another vanilla with lavender or lavender-esque sage, but I'm afraid I might not be able to resist this temptation forever. It won't drain my account after all.
