Outside Yuck, Inside Wow!
Whether you are a Star Wars fan or not should really not play a role in evaluating a perfume. Enough has already been said about the bottle. Star Wars lightsaber merchandise for young girls looks here like cheap plastic toys for women over 18.

But now to the content. I know some perfumes from big names that offer terrible/boring scents in charming bottles. Here it is exactly the opposite. The fragrance is wonderfully fruity-gourmand. If you like warm apple pie with crumble, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream, you might really enjoy this scent. It’s a fragrance that makes you feel good and is simply mouthwatering. Cozy warm vanilla pairs excellently with the fruits in the top note. Sweet tooths will delight in it. This perfume simply smells really good. For vanilla lovers, I definitely give a clear recommendation.

The fragrance is very affordable and unfortunately looks quite shabby - I think this may lead some to unjustly assign it less value, which then reflects in the reviews. Therefore, I must defend this little water (which is actually quite large, as 100ml can be had for 20 euros) and protect it from the nasty prejudices regarding its appearance. Please get to know the scent first. The content is more than okay. Not a century fragrance but a super cute, delicious, innocent winter cuddle scent that provides comfort and security like a warm hug when the weather outside is unpleasant. :)

Amidala is not Leia
Most people, especially Star Wars fans, know that the new Star Wars films are rather less successful. And by new, I don't mean last year's film, Episode VII, but the movies that tell the backstory of the old trilogy (Episodes I - III).

I also belong to the fans who much prefer the old films and tend to curse Episodes I-III, yet I still have these films in my BluRay collection, and why is that? Well,... that's one of the burdens one must bear as a Star Wars fan, and these films admittedly have some good scenes.

But I digress. With Amidala comes a fragrance dedicated to a character from the newer films. Appropriately, it comes in the shape of a lightsaber. So let's see how the scent is...

The scent:
The fragrance starts off very sweet, but also very synthetic. The beginning somewhat resembles tonka bean, while I could smell less of the mandarin. Light apple notes are added, but they soon fade into the background.
A little later, the sweet notes become stronger, still smelling quite artificial, but fundamentally not that bad. Occasionally, fruity notes emerge from the background. Patchouli was less present. Neroli can be detected a little.
However, the scent remains primarily (synthetically) sweet until the end due to the vanilla and musk combination.

The longevity and sillage:
The sillage is quite good with this fragrance. It is sufficient to be noticed and could leave a scent cloud with a larger dosage.
The longevity is above average with the sweet and somewhat heavy notes, lasting up to six or even eight hours on the skin.

The bottle:
The bottle is shaped like a lightsaber. It may look good, but the outer casing is made of rather cheap plastic. There is no cap; instead, you twist the head of the bottle to reveal the spray nozzle. Quite nice, but this mechanism is quite fragile, so it could break soon, making it impossible to get the spray nozzle out.

The fragrance is not one that you absolutely must have. Sure, the price is quite affordable, and the bottle looks particularly interesting, but even as a hardcore fan, one might not necessarily indulge in this scent, even though it’s not that extremely bad. It could be interesting for younger ones, if the girls even have any interest in Star Wars.

It can be used as an all-rounder, although the sweet notes can feel somewhat heavy and occasionally even stuffy. Therefore, it should preferably not be used on very hot days.

As for me, I have always been more of a fan of Princess Leia than Amidala (especially the guys here should admit that Leia looks much more rrrrrrrrrrrr than Padme, and I don't mean that just because Leia was once seen in a metal bikini!). While I enjoy seeing Leia in the films, I usually skip Amidala's scenes, especially the stiff-looking love scenes with Anakin, who also totally annoys me, since Hayden Christensen has forever ruined my favorite film villain, Darth Vader... *sniff*

In any case, this fragrance is the better one of all three Star Wars scents. It’s worth a try...

That Smells Like Treason Against Majesty!
For the first time: what a ridiculously stupid name. As if Amidala Man would make any sense *narf* okay, I'm not a fan of overly strict gender-specific assignments of fragrances or their product marketing, but no one would take Miss Dior pour Homme seriously, right? ;-)

Secondly, I find the entire product (content, appearance and feel of the bottle, name AND all of this in relation to a shrine of pop culture) to be a gross impertinence.

I’m saying it now, here, once and for all:

Mrs. Vader does not smell like she financed her degree at Nail College with a job as a receptionist at "Hot Lips Tabledance." There.

That’s enough said about all the images and associations this scent evokes in me.
Regarding the scent impression:

Right at the beginning, the orange blossom is in the foreground, and unfortunately, I don't perceive anything fruity, fresh, maybe even herbaceous-sour, which the apples in the top note could have promised me.
Patchouli and sandalwood provide a "foundation," but also a lot of dullness. It remains very sweet, musty, and cloying.
When the sweet-creamy base note sets in, I am already half suffocated in delirium and just want to throw open all the windows, dump an ice bucket over my head (okay, that’s too much - too 2014...) and need at least a 1/4 liter of Monkey Gin with tonic, ice, and lots of cucumber. As long as it’s fresh, as long as this musty, girly panty drawer haze doesn’t envelop me anymore.
The sillage is too strong for my taste, objectively in the lower midfield, I can’t comment on the longevity due to my hasty escape through the shower.
But the scent has such a cheap, intrusive quality for me, which is consistently carried through in the packaging design and especially the perceived value of it.

Wow, there's more to it than expected....
Don't be fooled by the bottle, as it looks cheap and is just plain ugly! I received the perfume as a gift, luckily! Because based on the bottle, I probably wouldn't have given it a second glance. The scent is truly wonderful. For the cold season, it's a lovely, warm, and sweet cuddle fragrance. It reminds me a bit of Opium, but this scent is softer. The longevity is also better than expected. I would buy this fragrance again and again, highly recommended for all those ladies who like sweet scents.

Bottle Sacrifice
I admit it: I am addicted to perfume (bottles)!

And I have an ambitious project ahead of me: reorganizing my perfume collection. For this, I am testing ALL my perfumes in a short time (we've been at it for half a year now and I still have a good half left to go) and deciding which category they will be sorted into.
For some, the decision is easy, as I wear them regularly. Others, like "Amidala Woman | Star Wars," I bought solely for the bottle and need to test them on skin again.

Amidala was released back in 2016 in a limited Star Wars Collection along with Empire Man and "Jedi Man | Star Wars." Unfortunately, this "limited" usually works well on me, and I thought: soon it won't be available anymore... even though I can't stand Star Wars movies: so bottle sacrifice times ten! Because I found it really hideously kitschy-cool, the scent itself didn't matter!

The Bottle:
The bottle, as well as the packaging, is beautifully plastic-gold, looking more high-quality than it actually is. It feels quite flimsy. The white ring on top can be turned, and the spray head appears. And to be honest, this thing resembles more of a toy for adults than a perfume bottle. I find it so ugly that it’s cool again. You can understand it, but you don’t have to.

The Scent:
Already sniffing at the spray head reveals a sweet-floral-gourmand scent, similar to "Black Opium (Eau de Parfum) | Yves Saint Laurent." And even when sprayed, the overwhelming, orange blossom-gourmand sweetness hits you; they probably didn't want to take any risks and are targeting a younger audience. There’s no trace of the listed mandarin and apple. Too bad, because these would have added a bit of fruity freshness to the overly sweet concoction. I just applied one spray, and I find even that too much!
No matter how long I wait, no patchouli. But it does cheerfully project for hours; I have to give it that! I could imagine it has slight cookie notes. So, a cookie-like, sweeter Black Opium without any edge.

Conclusion:
Fortunately, it doesn't smell strongly synthetic, and people who enjoy this overly sweet fragrance direction will surely be happy with it.
I’ll stroke the kitschy bottle once more and then sort it into the category: Could have saved myself the trouble.

Thanks for reading,
yours, Marie

A mix of La vie est belle & Black Opium. I can smell both. Very sweet, but I quite like it. Longevity is good, price is TOP!

Starts fruity, the orange blossom then dominates, but over time it is covered by sweet vanilla. Not bad for the price.

Sweeter, more artificial, and stickier LVEB. Well, if a woman likes it, for a small price, go ahead. But it probably won't attract any power.
