Yes, somehow I have been captivated by the scents of Stéphane Humbert Lucas. Taklamakan is such a wonderful creation ... so I naturally had to get to know the 2022 Generation Femme.
It doesn't quite fare as well here... many found the scent just okay, but purchase wishes (I can understand it at that price!) didn't materialize after all.
However, my curiosity wouldn't let go of me... and thanks to a dear perfumer, a leftover bottle was able to join me blind :) A big thank you at this point!
One thing upfront... I definitely do not regret it and I was probably very lucky ... after I wanted to take another curious look today at how much the scent actually costs now, I was shocked to find that it is no longer available at ALzD and also nowhere else to order.
Nevertheless, I would like to briefly introduce you to the scent :)
Lucas has indeed tried to create a modern oriental with 2022 Generation Femme!
Oh yes, just briefly ... I have always wondered what the deal is with the number 7 in the scents ... the ubiquitous 777 stands for spirituality, protection, and luck. For Stéphane Humbert Lucas, the number 7 is full of symbolic power ... I find that exciting... and just wanted to mention it in passing.
But now to the scent:
2022 Generation Femme starts with a lot of neroli, a juicy mandarin, and relatively quickly a green almond note comes through. During the first test, that was quite overwhelming, but during the second it was not so bad anymore.
As the scent develops further, a bitter-green note comes in, which I attribute to the galbanum. I can definitely smell the heliotrope, but not the white tea.
The opening is really exciting ... as the scent oscillates between vintage and modern.
It smells almond-sweet and powdery with green notes that flash through bitterly from time to time. The bitter-sweet engages in a little battle for a while that is worth enduring.
2022 Generation Femme becomes a spicy-sweet powder scent.
With tonka and sandalwood, it moves into the base. I can only sense the jasmine through the dominant tonka bean. In the background, a neroli-galbanum note still resonates, which does the scent good... because that is exactly what makes this powder scent.
Sweet-powdery and spicy with these fine edges and corners plus a delicate sandalwood note. Thus, Lucas has created a somewhat different, but very modern powdery-oriental scent :)
Generation 2022 Femme is not a scent for summer, but for autumn/winter as well as on cool spring days, it is a "go-to"
I certainly feel "powdered" good with it :)
The longevity is good at about 10 hours and even after that, there is still a scent residue to be sniffed. The sillage is already enormous in the first hours. One should dose this scent carefully, otherwise, it quickly becomes too much.
The bottle is beautiful and typical for the 777 creations.
Conclusion:
Exciting opening ... develops into a spicy-tonka powder dream. Modern oriental? Yes! ... masterfully! I feel "powdered" good :)
I would really like to make a test recommendation... and if anyone discovers a perfumery that still has the beautiful scent in their assortment, it would be great if you could note it here :)
P.S. I personally also find the men's variant really great and a comment will follow on that :)
Yes, I really like it too. It's an unusual powdery scent, I think. The galbanum component is beautifully blended, and the base is to die for. It reminds me of something in the end, but I just can't figure it out :-|. Thanks for the recommendation, dear sweetsmell!
For me, SHL is one of the few expensive niche brands that consistently delivers quality. With all the others, there's a lot of waste and excess. SHL is on the right track: less is more!
So this is the essence of the powder...
I smelled Mitsouko, L'heure Bleue, Shem-el-nessim, and Ligea one after the other. 9.5 points for the scent, zero points for the price!
A plea for 'layering'!
And you've found another great scent. You can feel your enthusiasm. The SHL ones are already wonderful too... The 2022 p.H. is nice as well. I'm really looking forward to it.
Very beautifully, finely, and deliciously described! I had almost given up on Neroli, but after this comment, I think I’ll give it another try :) A powdery trophy for you!
Period ;)

Tonka powder dream makes me rejoice!!!
