Another criminally underrated scent from this brand that you can find for 20-25 euros online.

Even though it's a little synthetic, it smells unique and absolutely wonderful in high heat!
Definitely has a 2000s "blue" fragrance vibe without being dated, the color of the glass fits the scent really well.

It's tropical, fresh, slightly boozy, sweet (sweeter than most freshies), fruity with some spicy and woody elements thrown in the mix.
This is a perfect casual use vacation scent, has saltwater and cocktail bars written all over it.

The longevity on this one is pretty decent, typically about 6-7 hours on my skin (less in the heat of course), but it stops projecting after an hour/hour and a half.

Overall, this is one of my favorite freshies in my collection and I love to reach for it.

Highly recommended!
Don't let the ratings make you believe that it's a mediocre scent, because it's simply not.

May not appeal to everyone

My best friend wears this fragrance, but I never identified it on him, just saw this fragrance bottle on his dresser a few times when I went to his house for drinks. I'm now aware that this is the fragrance I didn't particularly like him wearing.

The scent is fruity and peppery, but not in a pleasant way. The opening top notes aren't too bad and for a few seconds you may believe that this will develop into quite a likable fragrance. I particularly enjoyed the icy papaya and mashed pear accords before the enslaught of pepper and the so-called martini note.

The heart is, dare I say it, rather cheap smelling. The fruits are strong and sharp, further ruined by the clashing of earthy patchouli and sneeze-worthy pepper. I had to stop halfway through writing this review to go and take a headache tablet. No joke.

The drydown was quite generic and plain, just a mediocre sandalwood and patchouli blend. Not a conclusion that I found particularly wonderful, but in some ways a refreshing one when the sharp heart fades away.

The lasting strength was so-so, and the sillage moderate, at times a little strong. All in all, I'd pick a cheap drugstore scent or choose to wear a deoderant rather than Ed Hardy Hearts & Daggers. Sorry to anyone I offend.

The Forbidden Fruit

There are fruits that evolution has not produced for good reasons: compassion. Tact. Consideration. Mother Nature, as boundless as her wisdom may be, could not have foreseen billions of years ago that her paths would eventually lead to a label named "Ed Hardy," which at least fills one of those gaps in terms of scent.

"Hearts & Daggers" actually smells to me as if a new fruit has been invented, the exhalations of which the world now has to endure. Is it the pear? The papaya? The martini? When I sniff at my warmly dagged skin, this indefinable fruit aroma wafts towards me like a humid mist, very voluminous, overripe, and aquatic. "Intrusive" wouldn't quite capture it; this scent is more encompassing, it stretches its oppressively damp and sultry paws out, demanding that you give it your full attention. It's a bit like when you glance into the car next to you at a traffic light, where the driver is currently digging his fingers in his nose, then pulls them out, and you can only think, "Please, please - not in the mouth!"... but you also can't look away.... and then....

... uh... yes. Getting away from this scent is at least not easy for me, because when trying to assign this fruit concoction an organic relation, I am repeatedly astonished by my own bewilderment over what has been bottled here. Perhaps this scent is simply not made for my skin - but since no one else has commented on it yet, I seem not to be alone in this.
